Land of Plenty

Broken

Broken examines decay, waste, and the traces left behind by human activity. Across industrial landscapes and neglected spaces, Antony photographs broken objects, discarded materials, and rubbish left to rot within the local environment. These images carry both a visual and social weight, revealing how man-made things fall apart, and how the places around them are marked by neglect. In works such as Land of Plenty, the collection extends this concern towards poverty in the UK, asking how people, like the discarded objects around them, can be abandoned, overlooked, and left to wither within a landscape of excess.
