James Smiley Face

Blue 2

Blue is never still. It shifts and transforms – from the vast calm of the sky to the restless rhythm of the sea. In this follow-up collection, Antony continues his exploration of this ever-present hue, tracing its subtle transitions across landscapes, objects, and abstract forms.

In works such as Lin Wind Blown and Bosham, blue drifts through air and atmosphere, capturing the movement of wind and the changing weight of light. In Seaset, it deepens into oceanic rhythm, a meditation on scale and stillness. Meanwhile, pieces like Vase Abstract, Helen Transforms, and Radiance turn inward, revealing blue not as an external sight, but as an emotion or vibration – something felt as much as seen.

If the first collection asked us to notice blue in the world around us, Blue II begins the process of asking us to notice how it moves within us. Through these works, Antony continues to blur the line between perception and emotion, reminding us that colour is not only seen – it is experienced.
